Rack Rates

All meals, game drives, an optional bush walk after breakfast (weather permitting & subject to availability), teas & coffees & local drinks on sundowners on afternoon game drives

All other drinks apart from sundowner drinks (soft & alcoholic), Conservation Levy and any item not mentioned above.

R500 per person per night (2026)

R550 per person per night (2027)

This contribution goes towards conservation initiatives within the Sabie Game Reserve & surrounding areas and will be added to your invoice.

• Children aged 5 to 11 pay 50% of the adult rate.
• Children aged 12 and older pay the full adult rate.

Children aged 5 and over are welcome, and are allowed on game drives.

All guests who self drive to the lodge, are required to pay the gate fee of R345.00 per entry. Only Visa & MasterCard cards are accepted. No cash is accepted.

Please note that bush walks, are subject to weather conditions and a maximum of 8 guests. Guests are encouraged to pre-book their bush walk. 

• 2026 rates are valid from 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2026.
• 2027 rates are valid from 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2027.
• Rates are quoted in South African Rands.
• Rates include government taxes where applicable. If taxes increase, we reserve the right to increase the rate accordingly.
• We reserve the right to review rates at any given point without notice.
• Conservation levies and Gate Fees are subject to change without prior notice in the event of the Private Nature Reserves amending or adding levies due to budgetary needs.

Our reservations team can assist with road transfers to and from Umkumbe Safari Lodge.  The closest airport is Skukuza Airport (SKZ), which is a 1-hour drive away. Also nearby is Kruger Mpumalanga Airport (MQP), which is approximately a 3-hour drive.

The transfers from Skukuza Airport are scheduled, shared with other guests, and take place in an open 4x4 game viewing vehicle. The transfer from Skukuza takes place from the airport, through the Kruger Park and Sabi Sand to the Lodge. The transfers from Kruger Mpumalanga are private, in a closed SUV or minibus and enter the reserve at Shaws Gate.
